Sixth Grade Spelling List F-11
The 11th week of our grade 6 series reviews -ed and -ing, two common inflectional endings (also called inflected endings). Kids will master unplugged, complaining, strumming, profiting, explained, embedded, collecting, committed, permitted, throbbing, resembling, excelled, forbidding, knotting, limited, obtained, begging, regretted, abandoning, and resulted by solving crosswords and practicing with colorful flash cards!
The inflectional endings in this week's unit change the tense of base words or, in some cases, even make them usable as adjectives! Provide students a copy of this list to get things started.
